8 Days of Christmas Eye Makeup Tutorials: Day 8

On hindsight, even though it has been fun and challenging posting a new look every single day for 8 consecutive days, I should have done it 8 days BEFORE Christmas, instead of after. Christmas is long gone and everybody’s in the mood to welcome 2012, yet I’m still churning out Christmas looks (You can definitely use them for other occasions, of course!). Lol. But I have to keep to my word and commit to what I promised.

Today’s eye makeup look will come with a step-by-step tutorial since it is a much coveted look created using the Vertical Gradient Method of eyeshadow application.

8 Days of Christmas Eye Makeup Tutorials: Day 4

Have you ever spent a White Christmas?

It was not until my 17th Christmas did I see and touch snow. My family and I were vacationing in Korea and my dad’s Korean friend said it was probably not going to snow that year. We were actually not too disappointed by that as the trip to Muju Island to ski on the mountains was enough to keep us all excited.

On Christmas morning I was the first to wake up and through my half-opened, blurry eyes, saw white flakes descending outside our window. IT SNOWED ON CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! :D GOODNESS! Pure exhilaration filled the room as my two younger brothers, who were only 8 and 9 year-olds then, squealed in delight and jumped around in the room.

It was extremely cold outside but it was so heartwarming to finally be able to extend my hand and have snow flakes falling onto my palm. Yes, I licked them up. :P

At 17 years of age, I wore not a single trace of makeup. There, I just brought this post back to topic. Haha!

So here’s today’s face and silver-blue eye makeup tutorial!

Colorful Eye Makeup Tutorial: Asians Can Rock Multi-Color Eye Makeup Looks Too!

It’s a good thing I always write down, somewhere, the products used for makeup looks. I knew I would be less shy to put up more makeup looks one day. Yup, I have trouble with putting pictures of myself up on my own blog. I’m shy.

It’s just so weird seeing photos of myself on my blog, even though I have thousands of them on facebook. Maybe it’s because in those photos, I’m not smiling by myself into the camera, or taking close-up shots of my eye/brow/cheek/lip.

Besides, it’s so much harder to take photos of oneself! There’s always something wrong – stray strands of hair falling over the eyebrow, some fleck of dust sitting on the cheek, a tiny crumble of biscuit on the lip. For every photo selected, I have just about 20 variations of that, maybe tilting one degree to the left, or twelve degrees to the right. Gah!

I think I just have to get used to it.

So let’s start with a colorful look I did some time ago, when I still had my curly hair (gawd, looking at these photos make me miss them so much!).

You will need the following:

Face:

Face Primer – Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel

Concealer – Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer (Light Golden)

Cheeks:

Contouring Powder – MAC Gold-Go-Lightly Studio Careblend Pressed Powder
