Here’s the makeup tutorial I promised! I wore this for the first NDP 2012 media event I attended with the bloggers, and it received plenty of compliments! It’s not dramatic or OTT, in fact, it’s very wearable and I would categorize it under a daily look. It’s also not too difficult to create. Try it! :)

Have you read my second post for NDP 2012? You can see my 16-year-old face. LOL.

EYE MAKEUP

Eyeshadow Primer – UDPP Eden

Eyelid – Makeup Geek Shimmermint (inner 2/3); Makeup Geek Unicorn (outer 1/3)

Inner Corner – Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma

Contour Area – Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear. I really love Cocoa Bear. The warm brown really blends nicely into my skintone.

Outer V – None

Brow Bone Highlight – Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma

Lower Lash Line – Urban Decay Smog

Eyeliner – L’Oreal Color Infallible Emerald Lame; Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Liner Black Ink. I applied Emerald Lame first, then Black Ink over it so that a little Emerald Lame peeks out above Black Ink, for a more dimensional feel. Love this effect.

Eyelash Primer – Dior Diorshow Maximizer

Mascara – L’Oreal Collagene Mascara

Eyebrow – Lioele Auto Eyebrow 01 Natural Brown for the brow tail; Shiseido Integrate Brow Pencil BR741 to outline the general shape.

FACE MAKEUP

Primer – Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15

Foundation – Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation

Concealer – Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette

This was taken before any lip products so the lips are kinda dry. But I love the lighting! It’s just the morning sun, no fancy artificial lighting. Just sun. It makes my skin look like it’s glowing and creates soft shadows on my face. LOVE! It’s not everyday I get such good lighting to show the makeup.

And my eyebrows look pretty awesome, don’t they? :D

Face Powder – MAC Blot Powder Light

Highlighter – MAC Beauty Powder Too Chic

Cheeks – Milani Baked Blush Luminoso

LIP MAKEUP

Lip Balm – Dermalogica Lip Treatment

Lipstick – MAC Speed Dial

You can see the full face makeup in this post.

@Mostly Sunny Oh my god, thanks for telling me Livefyre wasn’t working on your comp too. Thank goodness the Livefyre team was really on the ball too.

Glad you’re getting braver! You could just throw caution to the wind and do a rainbow look. Everything will probably look plain from then on. Lol.

No colors although I’m craving fun stuff on my eyes! love the instagram shots! Your cheeks with luminoso look so amazing, I’m totally enjoying my two milani baked blushes I managed to get! Need to post about them soon!
