Makeup Tutorial: Easy, Bold Teal

In my previous post on the invaluable hand-made gifts for Mr Mode in celebration of our first and last engagement anniversary, I promised a tutorial on the makeup worn. So here it is! Super easy!

Eye Makeup

A: Use Maybelline Tattoo Eyeshadow Tenacious Teal as base; Sweep Sleek i-Divine Candy over lid

B: Apply Urban Decay Vice 2 Rewind on Outer V, extending upwards

C: Blend Make Up Geek Cocoa Bear with Rewind, which adds a nice warm touch to the cool brown that is Rewind

D: Blend edges of Cocoa Bear out with MAC Shroom, highlighting the brow bone at the same time

For elaboration on eye makeup placement, check out Part 1 of the Eyeshadow Tutorial Series!

Lower Lash Line: Maybelline Tattoo Eyeshaow Edgy Emerald

Brows: Lioele Auto Eyebrow 02 + Shiseido Integrate BR 731

Eyeliner: Naris Up Wink Up Maxigrade Eyeliner SP Liquid Black

Mascara: Lioele Volume & Curling Mascara

Face Makeup

As always, Lioele Dollish Veil Vita as base. And then…. nothing else. Haha! It’s my go-to face primer/foundation/sunscreen/skintonecorrector.

Blush is Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Blissful. I’m half-half about this blush. Everyone raves about how pigmented the Amazonian Clays are, but I have a hard time getting good pigmentation out of Blissful. I have Dollface as well and that fares slightly better. Blissful leaves me perturbed every time I use it. It can’t be me, right? No matter how many or which brush I use (not even Hakuhodo), pigmentation is just not as good as I’ve read.

On the lips is Shu Uemura SS OR 541, a beautiful orange-pink that goes well with anything.

Even though my bangs cover my eyes most of the time, I still LOVE wearing eye makeup. Probably coz it’s not so in-your-face, and people only see the eye art when I blink. Which makes it all the more mysterious. BAHAHA!!

Hope you enjoyed the short and quick makeup tutorial!

About Bun Bun

Hello! My name is Juli and Bun Bun is my alter-ego. I blog to share my love for makeup, how to apply it, and what works or what doesn’t work, all from an Asian perspective.

My first makeup product was a shimmery light blue lipstick which I proudly wore all over my eyelids and lips. It cost $2.50, felt like $250, and made me feel like a million bucks.

Throughout this blog you will see Bun Bun in different poses.

Instead of using numbers (3/5, 4/5) or alphabets (B+, A+) to rate products, I put Bun Bun in different positions and expressions to represent the rating given to the product after a review.

In Bun-O-Meter, the first on the list would mean a 5/5 rating and the last one a 1/5 rating.

You can always refer to the sidebar any time you don’t understand what Bun Bun’s pose means.

I hope you enjoy reading my makeup and beauty posts as much as I did writing them.

Talk to you soon! =)
