Makeup Haul: Inglot, Clio, BeautySoClean, Halloween Makeup

When was the last time I did a post on a makeup haul? Let me see…. Hurk! My Okinawa trip in April! That’s 8 months ago!

Obviously it’s not because I haven’t bought any new makeup from then till now (how is that possible?!), it’s more like my postings cannot keep up with the speed of purchasing. HAHAHA

A couple of weeks ago my friends proposed going to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and I was SO excited to go because I wanted to get me some Inglot! I’ve been dying to get my hands on Ingot products since it opened a store in City Square in March! The City Square branch is the third store in Malaysia, with the other two in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

When we reached City Square after lunch, I told my two friends, who’re both guys, to go get some coffee and give me an hour. Just one hour! Lol! And then I ran into the store and had a swatch feast.

This was the second batch, I’d already wiped off the first batch and without realizing, used up the entire arm again. HAHA! The entire arm was covered, front to back, top to tips.

The gel liners are AWESOME! So very pretty and pigmented and smooth and creammmyyy!!! And I love that they come in bright, happy colors! I got 82, 77, 72, 87.

I also got 4 eyeshadows: AMC Shine 30, AMC Shine 15, AMC 59, and Matte 385. And 1 lipstick (231) and 1 lip liner (60).

I went on a week day so there were very few people in the mall, must less the Ingot store, so I had plenty of space to move around and had very attentive service from the MUA.

The Evolution Of Blog Reading And Interaction: NuffnangX

Someone discovered electricity, but it was Thomas Edison who creatively harnessed and used electricity to invent the first light bulb.

Someone discovered the wheel, but it was Karl Benz who invented the first modern automobile.

Someone discovered the internet, someone else invented the smartphone, but it is Nuffnang that has found the perfect technology of coalescing these two to dramatically change the way you read and comment on blogs on your phone.

I hereby present to you, NuffnangX. *cue whistle and mad applause

(I think the ‘X’ adds mystery to the concept and feeds on human desire to uncover the riddle behind ‘X’. Otherwise why do teachers always ask us to ‘Find x’?! LOL)

What Is NuffnangX?

In a nutshell, NuffnangX is like the Instagram for blogs. You discover Instagrammers, interact with them, show some love. Everything’s done on your nifty little handheld device.

And that’s exactly how your blog reading and interaction habits are going to evolve.

Gone will be the days when blog reading meant you had to type in the full blog name in your phone’s address bar. Thank you very much if you bothered to type in the full bunbunmakeuptips.com, and thank you very much again if you have blog bookmarked in your smartphone’s Reading List.  Thank you, also, if you key in words like ‘bun bun makeup blog’, ‘bun bun makeup’, or ‘bun bun blog’, and then have my friend, Google, bring you to me. 😀

I assure you, things are going to change. No, WAIT! I know we all don’t like change. But trust me, your life is going to change for the better.

With NuffnangX, you can follow/subscribe to blogs you love *ahem* like mine *ahem* so you always know when I’ll have a new post up for reads. It’s information and update at your fingertips, baby.

Left screenshot: I haven’t ‘claimed a blog’ as a verification that I’m the rightful owner, coz I intend to do a tutorial on how to use NuffnangX. It will be useful for you! And I don’t follow only 6 blogs HAHA, this was a screenshot taken at the launch.

Thank you to all you 484 followers! I’m humbled by your unconditional support. :)

Gimme Fluttery Eyelashes: Dior Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum Review

Somebody told me I look like a chipmunk in this photo. LOL!

When the last of my previous lash primer – Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base – dried up, I was in search for the next best eyelash primer, mascara primer, or mascara base, whatever you call it.

A mascara primer is applied before mascara to comb and coat each lash for smoother and more even mascara application. Just like how foundation primer, eyeshadow primer work.

After doing a ton of research, my search was narrowed down to Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and Lancome Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base.

I was originally inclined to get the Lancome mascara base since the Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Power Mascara was one of my favorite mascaras. On the other hand, Dior’s Diorshow Iconic Extreme Mascara didn’t leave a good impression on me (dry and clumpy and flaky =__=”), yet despite that, I finally got the Dior lash primer. Simply because reviews on blogs and MUA seemed better. Reviews are so important! (That’s why you’re reading this heh heh)

Chic Packaging

The packaging is expected of a high-end brand like Dior and it stands out with its white tube in my stash of black mascara tubes.

I like that the exterior still looks very much like when I first had it, despite all the tossing and rough handling when I look for it in my mascara drawer. Not that it’s hard to spot though.

The Smashbox Lash Primer looked dilapidated with its peeled wording and faded texture; the Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base had scratches all over. I’m sure this Dior one has battle scars aplenty, just that the chic glossy packaging covers it all up nicely.

Singapore’s First Ever Anti-Drug Campaign Latin-Hip Hop Flashmob

Do you take drugs? Or know anyone who does?

GAH. What a negative way to start a blog post.

Restart. LOL.

<<zrrchurrgeekalaakaboomz!>>

So I mentioned in my Going Backstage – NDP Preview 2012 post and my Turning 28 post about a flashmob I took part in. It is, for me, one of the highlights of 2012, the year that would supposedly have witnessed total annihilation of the human race.

Our flashmob committee, in view of the recent slew of drug-related deaths, especially highlighted by celebrities like Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston, decided to adopt a flashmob with a message – an anti-drug campaign.

We made a promotional video to invite people to join us! All the steps were learnt like, 5 minutes before the camera started rolling. LOL.

I love that the video showcases many places in Singapore. Marina Bay Sands ArtScience Museum, CBD, Clarke Quay, Vivo City, Orchard, etc.

I appear in the final scene (*hint* I star as a possessive and OTT girlfriend. hoho), but you’ve gotta watch from the start to understand the build-up. It’s a very well-filmed video!

Kat, me, Honey

Love this pic! WE LOOK SO HAPPY!!! 😀
